Thursday May 17th @ Mulligan's
Thanks again to Sam & Karen for putting together the show at The 106 Gallery a couple weekends ago. It was good to see our pal Jim in his new band Boilerman.
Our next show is in just over two weeks. On May 17th we’ll be playing at Mulligan’s once again. Also playing will be The Fake Boys and American Gothic. Click on the flyer below for all the pertinent info.

Last weekend and this weekend.
Last weekend:
Last weekend was a blast for all of us in PL. On Friday we played Mulligan’s in GR with our Kzoo friends Terror! … Terror! … Oh, my! (btw, if you’re reading this, I will be abbreviating your band name from now until eternity) and some new acquaintances, The Fine Fine Titans. The show was awesome and I was able to introduce another round of people to the...

It's getting late.
Okay, it’s getting late over here in Protected Left land, so I’m going to keep this short and sweet.
First off, thanks to all who came out to the show at Mulligan’s this past Friday. It was our first time in Grand Rapids, as well as our new drummer Jason’s first show. Everything went great. Here’s hoping that’s a trend that continues.
Second, we have a show...

And in other news ...
Mario’s other band, Lenin/McCarthy, will be headed out on tour this week. If you live anywhere in the tri-state area, they will most likely be coming through your town. Check out the dates here.
E.P Review #3
Not much new news to report in the PL camp. Chad is in school, Joe just saw NOFX last night in Chicago, and Mario is, presumably, riffing. The one update we do have is another review of our debut ep Songs Of The Doomed, coming to you courtesy of Rockfreaks.net.
To read the full review, check it our here.

This is what it looks like when you forgo showers in favor of long van rides and sweaty rock shows.

Back Home.
Alright, Ladies and Gentlemen. We have safely traversed the highways of the upper midwest. It was trying at times, but we made it home in one piece. I’m sure at least one of us is working on something close to a “tour diary” but that will have to wait for another day.
In the mean time, we did have one upstanding individual post a review of our last show of tour at The Gurley...
Upcoming "Don't Be Afraid to Move" Tour(s)/Shows
Over the course of the next two weekends Protected Left will embark on our first official “tour.” Split into two separate weekends, the tour will take us through a fair amount of the upper Midwest, and, depending which Horky your ask, into the east coast. Here are the dates.
DON’T BE AFRAID TO MOVE Tour - wknd. 1 Thursday August 18 @ The GTG House - Lansing, MI w/: Die...
Saturday! →
This Saturday we’ll be playing The Ant Hill in Kzoo. Joining us will be Frank And Earnest from Lansing, wrapping up their first tour (I think); Seized Up, Detroit’s finest pop punkers; and Ackley Kid, Kalamazoo’s own portable house destruction party. Luckily the show will be at their house.

Live Footage
CHUNKvideos was on hand at Wienerfest a couple weeks ago and they filmed a few songs from each band, including three of the goddamned handsomest motherfuckers playing music together today. You can find those videos on their YouTube page by following these two links:

First review of "Songs of the doomed."
Earlier this week I sent out our e.p to be reviewed. Here is a link to the first. Thankfully, it is positive.

Post-show analysis.
Monday was a great time. Thanks to The Strutt and Shafto/ND for tossing us on to the show. Next up is WEINERFEST @ LOUIE’S in a few weeks. Until then, we shall continue to relax. Like Chad in his hot pants. Pictured below.

May 30 @ The Strutt
We’ve been added last minute to Monday night’s show at The Strutt in Kalamazoo. Red City Radio and Mixtapes will be coming through on their tour together and we, along with Natural Disasters and The Abortion Survivors, will be opening up for them.
I’m not a betting man, but if I were to wager a guess, I would wager we’re playing first as we were the last band added.

"Ooh! I call shananigans!" →
A couple weekends ago we stumbled through Kalamazoo, MI and Cleveland, OH to play a few house shows to rowdy and intense party go-ers. The evidence of which can be found via the link above.
